CSOT joined the global call to action to improve the care of people with fragility fractures
On July 11, 2018 the Czech Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology officially joined the global call to action of six international medical organizations with the aim to improve the care of patients with fragility fractures.
The ageing society of the developed countries has to face the increasing number of fragility fractures, including its medical, social and economic impacts. These patients, frequently with polymorbidity, require the complex multidisciplinary care.
The CSOT is aware of the gravity and urgency of this issue; this is why it joins the global call to action and will participate in the multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of patients with fragility fractures.
